Question: I am receiving a 'TOPO! 4.5 upgrade can't find existing version 4.0' error message. What do I do?

Answer:

TOPO! must be upgraded to 4.2.8 first before you can run the 4.5.0 upgrade.

1. Please navigate to the following site to upgrade to version 4.2.8:

http://maps.nationalgeographic.com/downloads/TOPO_428.exe

When downloading the 4.2.8 upgrade, first save the file to your desktop, close TOPO!, open the file on your desktop and run it.

2. Please navigate to the following site to upgrade to version 4.5.0:

http://maps.nationalgeographic.com/downloads/TOPO_450.exe

When downloading the 4.5.0 upgrade, first save the file to your desktop, close TOPO!, open the file on your desktop and run it. When you restart TOPO!, verify the upgrade was successful by clicking on the ‘Info’ tab from the menu bar, and selecting ‘About TOPO!’.
